What Is Bright? -
Currently an Electronic and Time-Based Media student at Carnegie Mellon's College of Fine Arts, Brenda has a strong traditional arts background. Recently, interactivity and well-designed user interfaces have been important factors in much of her work. She hopes that her work is easily accessible, relatable, and people-oriented. Brenda spends her free time on her road bike, on art projects, and making music with friends.
Namrata did her undergraduate work in India (Mumbai University) in Information Technology Engineering. Following graduation, she worked with Accenture specializing in SAP implementation. Currently, she is a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon's Information Networking Institute. Her majors are Information Security and Business Management. Namrata's hobbies include cooking, singing, blogging, and traveling. Good music is something that she loves the most.
Chad spent time with Hershey Food Corp. as an Account Manager before pursuing an MBA and accepting a position with General Electric's Finance Group. While at GE, Chad was accepted into the Finance Commercial Leadership Program (CLP). Chad's focus is now in financial underwriting, cash flow analysis, operations, and sales. Chad spends his free time road biking and plans to ride in his third 150-mile race benefiting the fight against MS.
Mark is a Computer Science major at Carnegie Mellon University. When he's not working, studying, or developing his own projects, Mark enjoys traveling and rowing for the CMU Rowing Club.
Brian conceptualized Bright while serving the US Army, as a Battalion Signal Officer, stationed in Iraq. Following his time in the military, Brian was accepted into Carnegie Mellon's Tepper School of Business where he is currently a candidate in their MBA program studying Finance, Accounting, and Entrepreneurship. Brian has no free time, but is pretty certain that his time is well-spent making sure that micro-collaboration helps to positively change the world!
Alissa is currently studying Computer Science and Human-Computer Interaction at Carnegie Mellon University. She is constantly contemplating how to make the objects and programs she encounters in her life more user-friendly. She also enjoys playing with colors, sketching wireframes, thinking about how people think, and playing ultimate frisbee.
Jonathan is an Information Systems student at Carnegie Mellon University. One of the projects he is working on right now is a march madness pool and bracket management site for his software development project. He will be pursing a Masters degree in Information Systems Management at the Heinz School. In his spare time, he likes to play the guitar and soccer.
Nick is a junior currently studying Information Systems and Business at Carnegie Mellon University. Nick plays on the CMU football team. When he has free time he enjoys the outdoors, reading books, and listening to eclectic music.
